Make Your Mark

  • Caroline Johnson

    Head of Projects

Working as a project manager at HCT is fast-paced and can be high-intensity at times. There is a great deal of fulfilment in working with a team to deliver impactful projects that have a measurable impact on organisational success. As the trust’s purpose is focused on improving lives through culture it is also satisfying to know that project-related improvements have a wider social impact too.

    Ameena Rahman

    People Business Partners

I love working for the trust, the people are truly the nicest I have ever worked with. The passion and commitment to our collections and local communities is inspiring. In my role I have the opportunity to get involved in so many projects that make a difference to our employees. Where else would you encounter a venue in partnership with Ubisoft that also does exceptional community outreach work.

  • Alexandra Walker

    Community Engagement

HCT really encourages you to embrace the variety of what we do whilst sharing your skills. There are so many talented people across our teams, with talents beyond their day-to-day role. We have incredible musicians, artists, academics and sports enthusiasts. We even have a yoga instructor and I teach Pilates in my spare time! HCT lets you think about all your talents as your unique contribution to our organisation.

    Cat Cooke

    Community Programme Manager

One of the key projects I’m working on is ICE Heritage, which has been really interesting to embed creative pathways so young people can volunteer with us and become creative champions, basically telling us how we can improve our programmes. Also working with new partners such as City of Sanctuary and Hampshire Fostering Children and working on many other great projects, really lets you see the impact of your work.

  • Hannah Coombes

    Communications Officer

I’ve been lucky to see real growth with HCT. My first role was as a Visitor Services Assistant within the Winchester team. When it was advertised, despite the fact I had no experience in the world of PR, I applied and was offered a Communications Assistant role for one day a week. This was a great way to learn and build experience. When the previous Communications Officer left, I have since taken on the role full-time permanently.

    Adam Gilbert-Anderson

    General Manager

I joined HCT as General Manager of Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham. After two years, the majority of which was helping the trust through the operational maze of covid, I was promoted to General Manager of our newest venue, The Arc in Winchester. As a new venue, we are still finding our feet and working out how best to operate. I’m enjoying the challenge of experimentation and trying new things to solve issues that arise.
