Salary: £16-18 per hour depending on experience
Location: The Great Hall, Winchester
Hours: Approximately 93.25 hours between 20 November and 23 December, exact dates are below:
- Wednesday 12 November: 5pm – 10pm (Exact time TBC)
- Thursday 20 November, 11 & 18 December: 3:20pm – 7:35pm
- Saturday 29 November, 6, 13 & 20 December: 10am - 4:35pm
- Sunday 30 November, 7, 14, & 21 December: 10am - 4:35pm
- Wednesday 3 December: 3:20pm - 7:35pm
- Friday 5, 12 & 19 December: 3:20pm - 7:35pm
- Monday 23 December: 10am - 4:35pm
- Tuesday 24 December: 10am - 4:35pm

We’re on the lookout for cheerful and energetic Elves to help make our Santa’s Grotto experience truly magical!
From welcoming excited guests and assisting with festive craft activities, to supporting Santa himself, you’ll be part of creating unforgettable moments for families this Christmas.
This is a front-of-house role at the heart of the Grotto, where exceptional customer service, quick thinking, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic are key!
Your Elf Duties Will Include:
• Giving each guest a warm festive welcome and ensuring they have everything they need for an unforgettable visit.
• Safely leading and managing fun craft activities with children and families.
• Creating joyful moments, solving problems on the spot, and delivering top-notch service.
• Keeping the Christmas spirit alive by entertaining families before and after they meet Santa Claus.
A Bit About You:
We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic individuals with plenty of energy, confidence, and a passion for making people smile!
• Experience in a Grotto, theatre, or panto setting is a bonus.
• You love working with children and families and find it truly rewarding.
• You’re quick-thinking, adaptable, and ready to bring festive fun to every moment.
• Acting or performing experience is desirable, but not essential; enthusiasm is what counts most!
