Job Description: VEA Gosport Museum and Art Gallery
Can you make sure each of our visitors receive a fantastic experience in this unique cultural venue?
As a Visitor Experience Assistant (VEA), you’ll be an essential part of our venue operations with a focus on our café. You’ll be delivering fantastic customer service through our venue café covering light refreshments across both day-to-day offerings and our evening music events. You’ll be the main point of contact for our visitors throughout their time in our venues.
You will be responsible for upholding the highest front of house standards, providing leadership and direction to our volunteers as well as consistently providing excellent customer service and ensuring our venues are presented in their best possible light.
A bit about you
You will be a confident verbal communicator; you’ll excel at making others feel welcome and valued. You’ll be comfortable handling all aspects of our café operation as well as getting stuck into other aspects of the visitor experience when needed. A keen eye for detail and a drive to give fantastic customer service is key as well as the ability to motivate, drive and guide others.
You’ll be a supportive team player, always willing to jump in and lend a hand, but also happy to work on your own initiative when necessary taking charge of our café operation with support from the venue team and general manager. You’ll often be working autonomously so drive and passion will be key.
