Job Title: Casual Learning Facilitator
Level: 4A
Salary: £11.55 per hour
Locations: Andover Museum and Museum of the Iron Age
Hours: Ad-Hoc (Term-Time Only Working)
Type of Contract: Casual
Job Description (JD): Casual Learning Facilitator
Do you want to inspire young minds with creative and interactive learning experiences?
You will deliver immersive schools workshops for a range of learners across Andover Museum of the Iron Age, as well as the opportunity to work across our experiences at Aldershot Military Museum, Milestones Museum, Basingstoke and 878AD, Winchester.
As a Learning Facilitator, you will work closely with the learning team to provide high quality workshops for learners. Immersive living history experiences are our thing, so you will have a passion for delivering interactive learning programmes covering a variety of subjects and levels (predominately KS2).
A bit about you
It is essential that you have experience of working with young people and leading activities or sessions - this does not have to be history related. A willingness to wear a costume and bring to life immersive learning is a must.
Your energy, passion and love for learning will help you to create memorable and immersive learning experiences unlike anything that can take place in a classroom. You could be bringing to life the Iron Age with costumes and characters, immersing young people and home educators.
Your outstanding communication and presentation skills and love of teaching and learning will be evident in your experience of delivering to a range of learners. An understanding of learning outside the classroom is a must, and your impeccable organisational skills will enable you to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
What it’s like to work for us
At Hampshire Cultural Trust we have a vision to create inspirational culture experiences that enrich and transform lives. We manage and support 20+ attractions across Hampshire and deliver county-wide outreach programmes that bring great culture to local communities. We also deliver a diverse range of wider social impact initiatives targeted at those who are most vulnerable or disadvantaged and who would not usually have access to arts and culture.
We are committed to promoting equity, inclusion and diversity and a culture that actively values difference. We recognise that people from different backgrounds and experiences can enhance the way we perform and work. We aim to be inclusive, valuing, and respectful of diversity, developing the ability to recruit and retain a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve and seeks to engage.
This will be a casual opportunity - meaning hours will be offered Ad-Hoc as and when schools are booked into our experiences.
We will be running a dynamic recruitment process so we would encourage candidates to submit an application as soon as possible as we will be interviewing candidates before the closing date.
To apply please fill in the application form with an up-to-date CV. We do not require covering letters for this position however would be grateful to receive context to your application.
